Greece trims preliminary roster for FIBA EuroBasket to 19 players

Greece has officially trimmed its preliminary roster for the upcoming FIBA EuroBasket (September 1-18) to 19 players.

Alex Antetokounmpo, Giorgos Tanoulis, Omiros Netzipoglou, Giorgos Tsalbouris, and Lefteris Mantzoukas are the five players that have left the training camp.

The 19 players that will continue preparing for the Qualifiers and the EuroBasket are as follows:

Dimitris Agravanis, Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Kostas Antetokounmpo (ASVEL Villeurbanne), Thanasis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Lefteris Bochoridis (Panathinaikos), Nick Calathes (Barcelona), Nikos Chougkaz (Panathinaikos), Tyler Dorsey (Dallas Mavericks), Kostis Gontikas, Panagiotis Kalaitzakis (Panathinaikos), Leonidas Kaselakis (Peristeri), Giannis Kouzeloglou (AEK), Giannoulis Larentzakis (Olympiacos), Michalis Lountzis (Olympiacos), Dimitris Moraitis (Peristeri), Giorgos Papagiannis (Panathinaikos), Kostas Papanikolaou (Olympiacos), Ioannis Papapetrou (Partizan), Kostas Sloukas (Olympiacos)

Greece will play a total of five preparation games ahead of the tournament, while they will face Serbia (road, August 25) and Belgium (home, August 28) for the Qualifiers.

Greece will travel to Milano in late August for the group stage of the EuroBasket, where they will take on hosts Italy, Estonia, Great Britain, Ukraine and Croatia.
