Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo remain untouchable in trade talks between the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat.
As Heat insider Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports, the franchise has no desire to change its stance and send either Butler or Adebayo to Brooklyn for Kevin Durant.
“Without including Jimmy Butler or Adebayo, any Heat offer for Durant would need to be headlined by the 22-year-old Tyler Herro, who was named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year last season.
Barring a change of heart, the expectation is Miami will not budge on its stance of keeping Adebayo and Butler off limits,” Chiang reports.

The Heat are among the strong candidates to trade for Durant, however the Nets keep having extremely high trade demands. Miami is willing to construct a package around young star guard Tyler Herro, but this may not be enough for Brooklyn.
“TSAI AND THE NETS HAVE MADE CLEAR PRIVATELY THAT THEY WILL TAKE EVERY LAST ASSET FROM A TEAM THAT TRADES FOR DURANT, SOURCES SAID,” SHAMS CHARANIA OF THE ATHLETIC REPORTS.
Following his ultimatum, it is unlikely for Nets’ owner to keep Durant in the team and part ways with Steve Nash and Sean Marks. Therefore, we should expect interested teams to re-engage in talks with Brooklyn.
