Spain announces sold-out for preparation game vs Greece

Spain officially announced that all tickets were sold for the preparation game vs Greece on Thursday evening.

The Spaniards will take on the Greeks at Wizink Center in Madrid, with 17,500 fans set to be in attendance.

This will be the second preparation game between Spain and Greece. The first one took place on Tuesday, with Giannis Antetokounmpo scoring 31 points and leading the Greeks to the 86-70 win at home.

Both national teams are preparing for the tip-off of the Second Round of the Basketball World Cup Qualifiers (August 24-28) and the FIBA EuroBasket (September 1-18).

The Spaniards will play another two preparation games vs Lithuania next week and will then face Iceland (August 24) and the Netherlands (August 27).

Spain will travel to Tbilisi in late August to take on hosts Georgia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Turkey and Belgium in Group A.

On the other hand, the Greeks have another three preparation games vs Georgia, Poland and Turkey and will then face Serbia (road, August 25) and Belgium (home, August 28) for the Qualifiers.

Greece will travel to Milano in late August for the group stage of the EuroBasket, where they will take on hosts Italy, Estonia, Great Britain, Ukraine and Croatia.
