The national team of Germany has ruled out Orlando Magic forward Moritz Wagner for the FIBA EuroBasket (September 1-18).
Moritz Wagner is dealing with an ankle injury and will be forced to miss the tournament to fully recover and get ready for the next NBA season.
“I’ll tell it like it is. This one hurts. For years I was looking forward to this tournament and this opportunity: to play in Germany, in Cologne and my city Berlin, with my brother, at a home European Championship, was something that I had dreamed of for a long time now,” Wagner said.
