France NT is expected to be among the favorites ahead of the start of EuroBasket 2022 and forward Guerchon Yabusele said the French NT still trying to build chemistry. The EuroBasket will take place in four different countries between 1-18 September.
“We have a bit of a second leading position in the “4”. I try to find my connection with Rudy. When the ball goes through us it’s difficult for our opponents to defend,” the Real Madrid forward said.
The dynamic forward and Gobert showed some of their capabilities as a duo in the latest win over Italy in a preparation game that took place in Bologna. Yabusele thinks his team have work to do in order to be ready for the EuroBasket.
“We made a lot of turnovers, it’s clear that we are in the preparation phase. We should have had a bigger lead but we still won the match”.
Yabusele is coming off a strong season with Real Madrid and he’s hoping to be able to make an impact for French NT on the FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers and the EuroBasket 2022.
Yabusele took part in the Tokyo Olympics last summer and helped his national team won a silver medal. Yabusele and the French national team have already traveled to Montpellier, where host Italy, for a second preparation game on Tuesday.
