It doesn’t come as a surprise that the two powerhouses will collide, as they have two of the biggest fanbases in the league.
Golden State aims to successfully defend its title and win its fifth NBA championship in the last nine years. On the other hand, Los Angeles seeks a return to the playoffs after a disappointing 2021/22 campaign.
As Marc Stein of Substack reports, the Lakers will collide with the Dallas Mavericks on Christmas Day. The NBA is expected to release the full schedule for the coming season next week.

Changes are still possible before the full schedule officially drops next week but Christmas games usually hold.
