The reigning champions Golden State Warriors will collide with the Memphis Grizzlies at Chase Center on NBA Christmas Day.
This is what Marc Stein of Substack reports, adding that the league will officially release the schedule next week.
ESPN/ABC’s Christmas Day slate, competing against three NFL games that Sunday, is thus expected to feature a playoff rematch between the Grizz and defending champion Warriors + LeBron James’ Lakers coming to Dallas to face Luka Dončić and the Mavs.

This will be a rematch of last year’s Western Conference semi-finals, where Golden State defeated Memphis in six games (4-2) and went on to win the title eventually.
Christmas Day action will also see the Los Angeles Lakers clash with the Dallas Mavericks, while the Warriors will take on the Lakers in the opening night on October 18.
Golde State will enter the season having its sights set on successfully defending its title, while Memphis wants to make it to the Western Conference Finals and fight for a place in the NBA Finals.
Scheduled for the NBA’s 2022-23 opening night and ring ceremony on TNT: Lakers at Warriors, Oct. 18, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.
