The star guard of Olympiacos Kostas Sloukas has joined the training camp of Greece ahead of the FIBA EuroBasket (September 1-18).
Sloukas missed the first part of the training camp as he was dealing with a minor injury. However, he is now ready to go and is preparing for the tournament. Kostas Sloukas will be among the team captains, alongside Kostas Papanikolaou and Nick Calathes.

Panathinaikos’ big man Giorgos Papagiannis keeps practicing individually and he is questionable for the EuroBasket.
Greece will play Georgia, Poland and Turkey in Athens in its remaining peparation games (August 17-19). They will then face Serbia (road, August 25) and Belgium (home, August 28) for the Basketball World Cup Qualifiers.
Greece will travel to Milano in late August for the group stage of the EuroBasket, where they will take on hosts Italy, Estonia, Great Britain, Ukraine and Croatia.
