Ergin Ataman reveals plan for Shane Larkin ahead of BWC Qualifiers and FIBA EuroBasket

Ergin Ataman opened up about when we should expect Shane Larkin to play for Turkey ahead of the Basketball World Cup Qualifiers and the EuroBasket.

The veteran coach expects the American star guard to play in the Acropolis Tournament this week (August 17-19) and made it clear he wants him to be fresh in the Qualifiers and the EuroBasket.

“Shane Larkin is in quite good shape, taking part in practices and also, some individual workouts. Probably he will start to play with those games in Greece.

He [Larkin] is familiar with the system and we didn’t want to wore him out yet. We need  Larkin fresh for the Latvia and Serbia games for the FIBA WC Qualifiers and of course, our main target, Eurobasket 2022,” Ergin Ataman said, via Basketnews.com.

Turkey will play Georgia, Poland and Greece in Athens and will complete its preparation for the EuroBasket.
