This will be the first time the Clippers and the Lakers will collide with all superstars available since December 2020. Since then, at least one superstar was absent, due to injury.
The Clippers are expected to return to title contention this season, following a disappointing campaign in the 2021/22 season. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George back healthy as well as the addition of John Wall, they are expected to be a powerhouse in the West.
On the other hand, the Lakers are still trying to build a contending team, but have failed to do so until now. They still aim to trade Russell Westbrook and land another superstar, yet at the moment they are viewed as a bottom-tier playoff team.
