NBA announced schedule for the 2022-23 season

The NBA today released its complete game schedule and broadcast schedules for TNT, ESPN, ABC, NBA TV and ESPN Radio for the 2022-23 regular season.

The 77th regular season, which comprises 82 games per team, will tip off on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, and conclude on Sunday, April 9, 2023.

The 2023 Play-In Tournament will take place from Tuesday, April 11 – Friday, April 14, followed by the start of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

The regular season will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 18 with the game between the Sixers and the Celtics.

In the second game, the defending champion Golden State Warriors will receive their championship rings before hosting the Los Angeles Lakers.

Five games will be played on Christmas Day. The 75th edition in Christmas Day will tip off on ESPN as the Knicks host the 76ers.

As the the league announced earlier this week, there won’t be any games on Election Day — Tuesday, Nov. 8 — as the league will instead have all 30 teams play the night before.
