ALBA Berlin guard Malte Delow suffered a meniscus injury and he will be out of action for several months, the club announced recently. Delow was expected to assume a larger role this season.

At just 21, Delow appeared in 30 EuroLeague games last year and started in 15 of them. He had averages of 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc in 14.3 minutes per contest.

The guard has been three seasons with the 2022 German BBL champions and he was expected to assume a vital role this season. He made his debut during the 2019-20 with the German powerhouse.

As of now, ALBA has added young prospects Gabriele Procida and Ziga Samar (went out on loan), while they signed ex-Baskonia bigman Yannick Wetzel. Coming off a respectable 12-16 record in EuroLeague and a German championship, the team hopes to at least repeat success next year.
