Germany NT big Daniel Theis is considered questionable ahead of the 2022 EuroBasket, the German Basketball Federation announced earlier.

Theis has been ruled out of next week’s games in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. He is training individually and monitored by the medical staff of the German national team.

A decision on keeping him on the roster until the last minute before the EuroBasket will be taken next week, the federation announcement reads.

The veteran center will miss the games versus Sweden and Slovenia as Germany tips off Group J of the World Cup European Qualifiers.

Then, Germany NT will arrive in Cologne as the hosts of the EuroBasket group that includes France, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lithuania, Slovenia, and Hungary.

This is set to make $8.6 million next season and $9.1M in 2023-24 with the Pacers. The team option is worth $9.5 million.

He was part of the trade that sent Malcolm Brogdon to the Boston Celtics. Theis missed the last two scheduled preparation games of the German NT.

Germany will also be missing Maxi Kleber, Moe Wagner, and Isaac Bonga in the EuroBasket.
