Furkan Korkmaz says Turkey NT need to fix its defense

Sixers’ forward Furkan Korkmaz appeared adamant that Turkey NT need to fix their defensive deficiencies before the start of the EuroBasket. After the loss to Greek NT Friday, Korkmaz said his team need to stay together to fix its defensive issues.

Turkey finished its preparation games with a 3-3 record playing against good teams, which are considered among the favorites to be in the Top-3 in the upcoming EuroBasket. Korkmaz, 25, ended up with 22 points, ten rebounds, and one assist in Friday’s loss vs Greece.

“All of our games have been intense and also our opponents have scored a lot of points,” he noted. “We got to fix that. But we have time. We have to stay all together as a team. And we just have to react in the EuroBasket and the World Cup Qualifiers.” (h/t EuroHoops)
