Giannis Antetokounmpo was ruled out for Greece’s final preparation game on Friday, because of a back issue.
This was the third preparation game the “Greek Freak” missed, as he was also out against Spain (August 11) and Georgia (August 18).
However, the coaching staff of Greece is not concerned about his situation and expects him to be available for the Basketball World Cup Qualifiers (August 24-28) and the EuroBasket (September 11-18).
Giannis Antetokounmpo will take one or two days off to rest and will re-join the training camp ahead of the Qualifiers and the EuroBasket.
The Greeks will face Serbia (road, August 25) and Belgium (home, August 28) for the Second Round of the Basketball World Cup Qualifiers.
They will then travel to Milano in late August for the group stage of the EuroBasket, where they will take on hosts Italy, Estonia, Great Britain, Ukraine and Croatia.
