Serbia wraps up preparation games with emphatic victory over Germany

Serbia played its final preparation game on Saturday and dominated Germany in Hamburg (83-56).

Nikola Jokic played only 17 minutes, but had 22 points (10/11 shooting) and five rebounds. while Nikola Milutinov added 13 points and seven boards in 18 minutes on the floor.

For their part, the Germans played without star guard Dennis Schroder and big man Daniel Theis and wrapped up their preparation with a blowout loss.

Both national teams now have their sights set on the upcoming Basketball World Cup Qualifiers and EuroBasket.

Serbia will take on Greece (August 25) and Turkey (August 28) in the first two games of the second round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers.

They will then travel to Prague for the group stage of the EuroBasket. They will face the Netherlands, Finland, Poland, Israel and the Czech Republic in Group D.

On the other hand, Germany will host one of the group stages in Cologne (Group B) and will take on Hungary, Slovenia, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Lithuania.

Prior to that, they will play Sweden (August 25) and Slovenia (August 28) for the Second Round of the Qualifiers.
