Dennis Schroder could miss the upcoming Basketball World Cup Qualifiers (August 24-28), but will be good to go for the FIBA EuroBasket (September 1-18).
The superstar guard of Germany is dealing with an ankle injury and was ruled out for the team’s final preparation game vs Serbia on Saturday.
As announced by the German Basketball Federation, Dennis Schroder will remain out for a few days and will travel to Sweden on Wednesday to join the rest of the team.

However, it is likely he will miss the game against Sweden on Thursday (August 25) to avoid any setbacks that could cost him his participation in the EuroBasket.
If everything goes as planned, Schroder is expected to return to action on Sunday, August 28, in the home game vs Slovenia for the Second Round of the Qualifiers.
Germany will host one of the group stages of the EuroBasket in Cologne (Group B) and will take on Hungary, Slovenia, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Lithuania.
