Jayson Tatum was one of the key members of the Celtics’ deep playoff run, with Boston reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010.
Despite his injury, Tatum played very well in the postseason and was one of the team’s best players. He averaged 26.9 points (on 45.3% shooting), 8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
As a result of his impressive performance, the superstar forward was part of the All-NBA First Team. Tatum still has three years and $104.5M left on his current contract with the Celtics.

The addition of Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari significantly bolsters the team’s second unit and makes the Celtics one of the favorites to reach the NBA Finals for a second straight year.
For his part, Jayson Tatum has his sights set on elevating his game and playing even better, while he has repeatedly said he doesn’t want the team to break up its core and wants to run it back with the same roster.
