Maccabi’s Darrun Hillard says goal is to progress past the EuroLeague playoffs

Maccabi Tel Aviv newly acquired scoring Darun Hilliard arrive in Israel to start the preparation ahead of the 2022-23 season. Maccabi is entering the season with great expectations after retooling its roster completely with ten new signings.

Hillard wants to win “as much as possible” with the Israeli powerhouse. Hilliard missed the last part of the season due to injury, but he’s ready to compete in the highest level after a great individual season with Bayern Munich.

“To win, everything,” Hillard said on his goal. “Championship, cup, to reach the EuroLeague playoffs and from there we will progress. We have a talented team and the expectations are high. We will have to remain patient, but the goal is to win as much as possible.”

Maccabi added experienced EuroLeague stars like Lorenzo Brown, Wade Baldwin IV and Austin Hollins alongside the former CSKA and Bayern star. Maccabi will soon start its preparation ahead of the new season.

“We have a lot of talent, but we also have a lot of experience,” Hilliard noted. “We have an experienced bunch who has played big games in the EuroLeague.So, we have no excuses – we have the talent and experience, all that remains is to win”.
