Jordan Clarkson makes home debut and lead Gilas to victory

The Philippines overcame a slow start to rebound and claim a massive victory (84-46) over Saudi Arabia in Jordan Clarkson’s home game debut.

Young big man Kai Sotto had his biggest game of the Asian Qualifiers so far with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

Gilas jumped out to a 26-14 advantage in the second quarter and they didn’t slow down as they outscored Saudi Arabia by 16 points and 13 points in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.

Clarkson, a former NBA Sixth Man of the Year, registered 23 points on 14 shot attempts to go along with five rebounds and six assists.

Philippines improved to 3-3 bouncing back from a loss to Lebanon, while Saudi Arabia fell to 1-5 in Group E of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian qualifiers.
