Giannis Antetokounmpo makes EuroBasket history with 41-point game vs Ukraine

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been unstoppable in the 2022 FIBA EuroBasket and showed that in the game against Ukraine on Tuesday.

The “Greek Freak” erupted for 41 points, on 13/18 shooting (13/16 in two-pointers) and 9 rebounds for a PIR of 43, as the Greeks dominated the Ukrainians in the second half (60-33) and went on to win the game (99-79).

Antetokounmpo made history as his 41 points are the most in a single EuroBasket game since the legendary Dirk Nowitzki’s 43 points back in 2001.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing with a chip on his shoulder, having his sights set on leading Greece to the gold medal in the tournament.

In 3 games in the EuroBasket, he is averaging 31 points per game, along with 10.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and a PIR of 34.7.

Giannis Antetokounmpo will have some rest in the final game of the grup stage on Thursday vs Estonia and will start preparing for the Round of 16 game on Sunday, September 11.
