In day 2 of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, the Team USA demolished Puerto Rico 106-42, it was a victory powered by both Brionna Jones (15 pts. 9 reb.) and Shakira Austin. Austin managed a double-double with a dominant 19 points and 10 rebounds.

China team is firing in all-cylinders right now as they moved to 2-0 after catching fire again and beating Bosnia and Herzegovina 98-51. Australia bounced back from the opening night loss as they emphatically beat Mali 118-58.

Cayla George had a dominant all-around performance with 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the hosts. The reigning European champions Serbia registered an impressive 69-64 victory over Japan to tie their record at 1-1.

Jovana Nogic led Serbia’s effort with 13 and nine rebounds as the winning side had five players in double-digits to get away with a win. Belgium added to its winning tally after beating Korea 84-61.

Nirra Fields scored 17 points, while Kayla Alexander had a game-high 14 rebounds plus nine points and Canada (2-0) beat France 59-45 to remain the only undefeated team in Group B of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
