Austin Hollins on Maccabi’s preseason: “We have pretty good chemistry for that early in the season”

Austin Hollins spoke with Hedgeout.net after the preparation loss to Armani Milano (71-80) and shared his excitement about joining Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

The American guard said the team is working on building its chemistry, while waiting for the arrival of EuroBasket champion Lorenzo Brown, while he shared his happiness about signing with the club and is ready to take on the new challenge.

“Training camp was good, we have some things we should work on, but we are heading to the right direction. We are trying to get our full team here, we are missing one guy (Lorenzo Brown), we have a great group of guys and we will figure it out.

I am excited about the new season, every player likes the challenge, we are prepared for that and ready to attack on the challenge.

With any team, chemistry takes time, but we are a great group of guys, we work hard and we have started connecting on and off the floor. For any team, chemistry takes time, but we have pretty good chemistry for that early in the season,” Austin Hollins said.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv lost both games at the 4th Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament and now shifts its focus on the start of the Israeli League and the EuroLeague.

In Round 1 of the EuroLeague, the Israelis will host Zalgiris Kaunas in front of a sold-out crowd at Menora Mivtachim Arena on Thursday, October 6.
