The group phase of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup came to an end on Tuesday with Team USA being the only team with a perfect record in the first phase.
Qualifying Teams Group A: 1. USA. 2. China. 3. Belgium. 4. Puerto Rico.
Qualifying Teams Group B: 1. Australia. 2. Canada. 3. Serbia. 4. France.
The action now moves to the quarter-finals with some expected huge matchups. Quarter-finals will take place on Thursday starting with a game between the USA and Serbia at 12:00 pm local time at Syndey SuperDome.
Later (14:30), the surprise of the tournament Puerto Rico will take on one of the favorites for the medal, Canada.
China WNT, which had an impressive run in Group A, will face France in a huge game for both teams.
The hosts Australia will take on Belgium to conclude the Fiba Women’s Basketball World Cup quarter-finals action on Thursday evening.
