LeBron James wants the Los Angeles Lakers to significant improve their defense if they want to be successful this season.
During the team’s Media Day on Monday, the four-time NBA champion said defense will be key for the franchise’s title chances.
“Defense. Obviously you gotta be able to put the ball in the hole, but teams that can defend and can get stops when needed — they’re just simply more successful in our league. I think the defensive side of the floor is what we’re gonna be hammering home on every single day,” LeBron James said, via Michael Corvo of Clutchpoints.

The 17-time NBA champions were one of the worst defensive squads last season, missing the playoff eventually.
However, new head coach Darvin Ham emphasized on the Lakers becoming a defense-first team and to that direction the team also signed defensive specialist Patrick Beverley.
