“It really helped that the coach (Dejan Radonjic) was coming with and the fact that he was here made my decision much easier. It’s a good place to play, the city is nice, the team has high expectations, has good reputation and history and since they showed interest, I was interested as well.

I am excited about joining Panathinaikos, it’s great organization, good group of guys, I have been here a couple of weeks, the city seems really nice and I am excited being here,” Wolters told

The former Crvena Zvezda guard admitted that the squad will need time to build chemistry, but expects to see improvement in 2-3 months from now.

“It will take some time (to build chemistry). We still haven’t practiced as a team, it is still early in the season, but hopefully sooner rather than later we will be able to play well together, we will get used to each other. But the team will be much better in a few months, let’s say December – January,” Nate Wolters said.

Panathinaikos is preparing for the Greek Super Cup this weekend (October 1-2), but Nate Wolters will be unavailable because of contusion in his iliac crest. At the moment, he remains questionable for the EuroLeague opener vs Real Madrid on Thursday, October 6.

“It it a good preseason tournament for us, another learning experience. It’s not gonna be perfect, but we should play hard and it will help us get used to each other and we will see what happens,” Nate Wolters added about the Super Cup.
