Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis has entered the preseason fully healthy and ready to have a serious impact on his team.
The Lakers’ superstar revealed to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports his goal for the upcoming season and the game plan the Lakers will follow.
“I went into this summer focusing on strengthening my body,” Davis said. “I have to be on the court and at my best to put us in a position to be at our best. I’m ready to do that.”
Davis hopes he’ll return to his superstar form after he was limited to 40 games last season. He was in and out of the squad during the final part of the 2021-22 campaign.
“I’m excited for this challenge and what’s ahead. I think we have a great group of guys to get the job done. It’s now about putting in the work,” Davis noted.
Davis also said the team has bought into Ham’s demands in the defensive end and he’s ready to lead by example.
Earlier, Davis, who shot 53 percent from the field last year, revealed he dealt with an undisclosed wrist injury that plummeted his shooting splits. He only made 18 percent of his three-point attempts last season.
