The first round of the EuroLeague 2022-23 is about to start, and Hegdeout.net is presenting five players that could be considered the best picks to start the EuroLeague Fantasy Season.
Nando De Colo- ASVEL LDLC- G (CPT)
Nando De Colo has returned to France after dominating the EuroLeague for more than five seasons as one of its best guards. De Colo will have a lot of work to do as the veteran leader of a young team. He’s scored 12.3 points, grabbed 2.7 rebounds and handed out 2.3 assists per game with a 53 percent field goal percentage in his first three games of the season with ASVEL.
Markus Howard- Baskonia- G
Markus Howard will be a huge asset in Baskonia’s squad in the upcoming season. Starting this week, he could be one of the best perimeter scorers in the EuroLeague this season. He had 15 points in eight minutes of play against Unicaja Malaga. He didn’t play as well in the loss to FC Barcelona, finishing with 1-of-7 shooting and just five points.
Dzanan Musa- Real Madrid- F
This season, Real Madrid will get a lot of production from its wings. One of the wing players that can put up numbers is Dzanan Musa. In his first two games with Real, he has averaged 18.5 points per game, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He has shot extremely efficiently so far, hitting 52 percent of his attempts from the field.
Sasha Vezenkov- Olympiacos- F
Sasha Vezenkov is looking to have another MVP-type of season as the main offensive weapon for the Reds in the upcoming season. As a result, he is expected to put up massive numbers. Last season, he averaged almost 15 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He’s coming off strong EuroBasket performances, scoring 25+ points in all the games he participated in.
Giorgos Papagiannis- Panathinaikos- C
Giorgos Papagiannis was one of the top rebounders in the EuroLeague last season. If he remains healthy, he could continue this trend in the upcoming season. A double-double machine, the 25-years-old center averaged 10.1 points and 8.2 rebounds in 29 EuroLeague contests last season. He will also be a defensive asset (1.7 blocks) for any fantasy team.
