EuroLeague Fantasy: Best performers from Round 1

Round 1 of the 2022-23 EuroLeague concluded with several players entering the season with a strong statement in the EuroLeague Fantasy League.

Whoever bet on ALBA Berlin in round 1 saw two players from the German champions producing Top 5 performances during week 1.

Baskonias Maik Kotsar led all players in fantasy points in EuroLeague Round 1, while Mike James came in second. Furthermore, an unexpected entry, Bonzie Colson led Maccabi to a victory in the first round.

Here are the top 5 performers from Round 1:

1.Maik Kotsar – Baskonia

Baskonia had a strong start in the 2022-23 EuroLeague season as the Spaniards beat fellow ACB club Valencia in round 1. Maik Kotsar shined with 21 points, six rebounds, three offensive rebounds and four assists.

Kotsar totaled 34.1 fantasy points on week 1, and as of now potential suitors can add him to their EuroLeague Fantasy League team for 10.9 credits.

2. Mike James – AS Monaco

Monaco has added many high caliber scorers during this offseason, but Mike James is the heart and the soul of the team. In the win vs. Virtus, James finished with 26 points, six assists and just two turnovers in 33 minutes.

James is still one of the top picks of the Fantasy League this season and had a great start with 33 total fantasy points. Any player who will want to add him to a team will have to give up 15.4 credits.

3. Bonzie Colson – Maccabi Tel Aviv

Bonzie Colson and Maccabi Tel Aviv started the EuroLeague campaign with a close-fought victory over Zalgiris. Colson had an excellent all-around performance in his EuroLeague debut with 16 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and four blocks.

He totaled 31.9 fantasy points and brought joy to the players that selected him before the start of EuroLeague round 1.

4. Luke Sikma – ALBA Berlin

ALBA Berlin enjoyed a historic night offensively during its 2022-23 EuroLeague season opener against Partizan and had galore of options in the offensive end. However, Luke Sikma was once again an all-around presence for the Berliners.

The veteran forward finished the game with 15 points, 6 (3 OR) rebounds and 7 assists and totaled 29.7 fantasy points.

5. Luis Olinde – ALBA Berlin

ALBA Berlin made the headlines with the victory against Partizan and the Berliners happened to have a second player in the Top-5 of EuroLeague Fantasy performers this week.

Luis Olinde was dominant in the paint and accumulated a solid 27.5 points in week 1.

Olinde finished the game with 11 points, 10 rebounds (6 OF), four assists, a steal and just one turnover. He could be an underrated pick in the next few weeks for any fantasy player as he only have to to give up 7.6 credits to add him to a team.
