LNB Pro A Round Up (Week 4): AS Monaco remains perfect behind Matthew Strazel big night

Matthew Strazel scored 19 points and AS Monaco beat Gravelines-Dunkerque 95-85 to remain perfect in the LNB Pro A with its fourth consecutive victory. Monaco led 75-52 at the start of the third quarter despite playing without its leader Mike James.

Yoan Makoundou, Donatas Motiejunas, and Elie Okobo had 13 points each as Monaco made an impressive offensive display to secure the victory. Jordan Loyd also added six assists along with eight points to help his team.

On Saturday, LDLC ASVEL bounced back from its loss in the EuroLeague opener vs Milan, with a close-fought 82-85 victory against Le Portel. Youssoupha Fall was dominant in the paint for the winners with 21 points and five rebounds.

Nando De Colo added 11 points having a crucial role in the closing moments of the game. ASVEL made 12 of its 19 attempts from deep, and that was a vital stat for ASVEL as Le Portel came close to an upset with five players in double digits.
