NBA Fantasy: 4 Players with rising stock before draft

Just a few days before the start of the NBA regular season and the various NBA Fantasy players are preparing to stir the new season with the NBA fantasy draft.

Friday marked the final preseason games of the year, and the regular season opens on Tuesday with two games.

Here are four players with a rising stock in the NBA Fantasy Draft after the preseason.

Bam Adebayo – Miami Heat

Bam Adebayo is certainly made of early first-round material in the NBA Fantasy world. Hid defense is elite, his rebounding is also there and during three preseason games he appeared more involved in the offensive end. He ended up averaging 21.3 points on 57.7 percent shooting from the field in 13.3 attempts per contest. He was also adding 3.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 blocks per 24 minutes.

RJ Barrett – New York Knicks

RJ Barrett has been rising in the draft boards during the preseason after signing a lucrative rookie scale extension this past summer. Barrett appeared efficient in four games putting up 19.8 points on 48 percent from the field. He shot 50 percent from deep in 6.0 attempts per game and appeared ready to have better quality in his shots with a true playmaker alongside him. He was also adding 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 27 minutes per.

Christian Wood – Dallas Mavericks

We said that Christian Wood numbers will tick up this season and I believe he will quickly become an even more underappreciated pick this season having Luka Doncic offering him easy points inside and outside the paint. Wood registered super-efficient numbers in the preseason averaging 17.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in just 22 minutes per. He was shooting a healthy 53 percent from the field and an exciting 41 percent from deep.

Tyrese Maxey – Philadelphia 76ers

Tyrese Maxey went crazy the Philadelphia 76ers perfect run in the preseason. He shot over 50 percent in both field goal and 3-point percentage and he was the best player for his team scoring 30 points per 36 minutes for his team. Maxey seemed poise to become the go-to scorer from the perimeter this season adding a lower number in assists and rebounds but his shot-making could certainly be elite.
