15 for 15 East preview: Chicago Bulls

After a season with ups and downs, the Chicago Bulls aim to maintain their title contender status and challenge for the championship.

Last season, the Bulls made an excellent start and led the way in the East until midway through the regular season.

However, Covid-19 outbreak, the season-ending injury of Lonzo Ball and the injury issues of Zach LaVine led to the downfall of the squad and an early playoff exit.

Fast forward to October, Lonzo Ball remains out, but LaVine is healthy and ready to take over for the squad. After signing a supermax contract extension this offseason, LaVine has his sights set on a deep playoff run with the Bulls.

With DeMar DeRozan as the co-star and Nikola Vucevic ready to step up, the Bulls are hopeful they have what it takes to go all the way.

This year, Chicago has a great supporting cast surrounding their Big Three. Andre Drummond, Derrick Jones Jr., Alex Caruso, Goran Dragic and Coby White give head coach Billy Donovan extra weapons on both ends.

Expect the Chicago Bulls to play with a sense of urgency and desperation, however consistency will be the key here. Their roster is deep and if they remain healthy, they have the potential to come out of the East.

In their season opener, the Chicago Bulls will travel to Florida to take on the Miami Heat this Wednesday, October 19.
