In Belgrade, at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, Crvena Zvezda (0-4) welcomes Bayern Munich (0-4). Both teams are winless so far in the tournament (0-4).
Last week, the Serbians suffered two heavy defeats in Spain, against Baskonia (92-75) and Real Madrid (72-56). They have struggled on both ends of the court so far. Only newly-acquired Benjamin Bentil has been performing well this season (14.8 points, 4.8 rebounds).
For its part, Bayern lost both home games last week, against Barcelona (73-84) and Armani Milano (81-83). Andrea Trinchieri’s guys have to improve if they want to make it to the EuroLeague playoffs.
I believe tonight’s game can be a great opportunity for both teams to turn things around. My first betting prediction is that Bayern can easily protect the handicap of +6.5 (odds at 1.50). Even if Crvena Zvezda wins, I believe it will be a close victory.
However, I will choose Bayern Munich to win, which is a solid value bet (odds at 2.15). My fun bet will be Nick Weiler-Babb to record more than 19 points, rebounds and assists in total (odds at 2.40). He had 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists last year in Belgrade and he is more than capable of repeating such a performance.
Safe bet:
Bayern +6.5 (1.50)
Value bet:
Bayern Munich win (2.15)
Fun bet:
Nick Weiler-Babb over 19.5 points, rebounds and assists (odds at 2.40)
