Pro A LNB Round-up (Week 8): Monaco suffers first defeat, ASVEL cruises past Fos-sur-Mer

There is not any undefeated team in Pro A after week 8 as AS Monaco suffered its first defeat of the season to Dijon, which run away with the win in the second half after outscoring the EuroLeague powerhouse 37-48 and prevailing with 84-95.

Mike James had a double-double of 20 points and 10 assists for AS Monaco, who ran out of gas in the second half after a tough matchup against Crvena Zvezda for EuroLeague round 6. Markis McDuffie had a day to remember for Dijon with 27 points and nine rebounds.

Parker Jackson-Cartwright led the way with 19 points and ASVEL-LDLC cruised past Fos-sur-Mer 95-64. Antoine Diot added 12 points and six rebounds for the reigning Pro A champions, who improved to 5-3 after eight domestic league games.

ASVEL started the game strong and took a 29-16 advantage in the fourth quarter. The French champion never looked back from that point and cruised to a comfortable victory at home. Amine Noua also had a big contribution to the win with 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
