At Salle Gaston Medecin, two of the most offensive teams this year, Monaco and Baskonia, face off.
Last week, both suffered defeats to Valencia (84-89) and Panathinaikos (83-98), respectively. Jordan Loyd scored 24 points, however Sasa Obradovic’ guys could not get the job done. They lost due to a devastating third quarter (14-23). Monaco is currently at 5-2.
For its part, Baskonia is at 4-3 after its disappointing performance in Greece. Markus Howard contributed the most for his team (20 points), while his teammates were unable to follow his lead.
This game in Monaco is pretty hard to pick a winner. Both teams have relied on their offense so far this season.
Therefore, my first betting prediction will be that they will score more than 159 points in total (odds at 1.50). Furthermore, I predict that Euroleague’s October MVP, Mike James, can easily outscore every other player (odds at 2.05).
Safe bet:
Over 159.5 points (1.50)
Value bet:
Mike James top scorer (2.05)
At Ulker Sports Arena, Fenerbahce welcome Panathinaikos. The Turkish side is currently on top of the standings, while the Greeks are generally struggling this season.
Last week, they both won their matches against Crvena Zvezda (93-79) and Baskonia (98-83), respectively.
Last year, Panathinaikos won the season series (2-0). This game has a clear favorite in Dimitris Itoudis’ guys. I believe they can even cover the -6.5 handicap (odds at 1.50).
In addition, I think that Fenerbahce scoring more than 83 points can be considered a pretty safe bet (odds at 1.83).
My fun bet for this game is that Fenerbahce will score more than 86 points (odds at 2.52). They have done so in their last two home games and can easily repeat such a performance.
Safe bet:
Fenerbahce win -6.5 (1.50)
Fenerbahce over 83.5 points (1.83)
Fun bet:
Fenerbahce over 86.5 points (2.52)
