Devin Booker called out Patrick Beverley for the incident with Phoenix Suns’ big man DeAndre Ayton on Tuesday’s game vs the Los Angeles Lakers.
Late in the fourth quarter, Devin Booker defended a drive attempt from Austin Reaves pretty well. At the same time, though, he hit Reaves on the face in the process. Booker and Ayton then proceeded to stand over Reaves, taunting him after the defensive stop.
Patrick Beverley then went up to Ayton and shoved him from behind, causing the big man to fall to the floor. Beverley was ejected and Devin Booker wasn’t pleased with the Lakers guard’s actions.
“Pat needs to stop pushing people in the back, man. Push ’em in the chest. That’s all I got to say,” Booker told sideline reporter Chris Haynes immediately after the game.
