Donovan Mitchell goes for season-high 43 points to end the Lakers’ 3-game winning streak – NBA Tuesday recap

Donovan Mitchell made his best performance this season and helped the Cleveland Cavaliers rally past the Los Angeles Lakers (102-116).

The All-Star guard went for a season-high 43 points (29 in the second half), on 17/27 shooting, six rebounds and five assists to help his team remain in the upper echelon of the Eastern Conference (16-9).

On the other hand, the Lakers saw their three-game winning streak come to an end and fell to 10-13. At the same time, Anthony Davis’ status (non-Covid illness) remains unclear for Wednesday’s road game vs the Toronto Raptors.

In the other games, the Miami Heat (11-14) continued their ups and downs this season, losing to the Detroit Pistons (7-19) at home (116-96).

In Denver, Jamal Murray missed the game-winning shot at the buzzer and the Nuggets dropped their third straight (14-10), after losing to the Dallas Mavericks (116-115). On the contrary, the Mavs have won three straight and four of ther last five (13-11).
