Star guard Dejounte Murray will be sidelined for the next two weeks with an ankle injury, the Atlanta Hawks announced on Thursday.
Murray got injured during Wednesday’s road loss to the New York Knicks (89-113) and underwent medical tests that showed a left ankle sprain. His return is expected to take place around Christmas.

Dejounte Murray is in the midst of his first season with the Atlanta Hawks. He is averaging 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting 45.2% from the field and 36.6% from beyond the arc.
Following its fifth loss in the last seven games, Atlanta (13-12) is fifth in the East standings and seeks to maintain a Top-4 push, with four of their next five games being on the road.
