EuroLeague Fantasy: 3 players you should look trading for

EuroLeague Fantasy season continues this week with round 15, which starts on December 22. While head coaches should look to keep the key parts of their teams, it does not hurt to look into potential upgrades in their roster as we’re getting deeper into the 2022-23 EuroLeague season.

With that in mind, we propose three players whose credit score is low in our opinion regarding their current production and role in their teams.

Without further ado, here are three players you should consider trading for at their current value.

Marius Grigonis – Panathinaikos Athens (7.7 CR)

Panathinaikos has found its footing after a slow start in the 2022-23 EuroLeague, especially after adding top-tier forward Dwayne Bacon. With that said, prior to Bacon, Marius Grigonis was considered the top talent in the newly constructed Panathinaikos’ roster.

Grigonis hasn’t found his groove so far this season and an injury set him back even further as he missed the Greens’ last six games in the EuroLeague. The Lithuanian guard could be returning this week in action and his value, at 7.7 credits, could be a decent bargain deal for any EuroLeague Fantasy coach.

Grigonis has career averages of 10.6 points, 2.4 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 102 EuroLeague games. He’s averaging 9.2 points on 38/34/85 shooting splits. I expect his shooting and production to go back to normal if he’s healthy. So if you have the chance, nab him at his current value.

Isaiah Canaan – Olympiacos Piraeus (6.1 CR)

Isaiah Canaan was a EuroLeague Fantasy darling last season as his scoring and shooting ability was a plus for every EuroLeague Fantasy head coach. This season, after joining the 2022 final-4 bound Olympiacos, his role and production has taken a hit as he stopped being the no.1 offensive option.

He saw his averages dropping to 5.1 points after averaging 11.8 last season in the EuroLeague. His shooting splits are also not perfect, making just 38% of his attemtps from the field, but he’s shooting almost 45% from deep after making 41% of his 3-point attempts in higher usage last season.

Canaan will have to recalibrate his play and he has shown some improvement in the last few weeks as an instant scoring production option in the first half of Olympiacos’ games. At 6.1 credits, Canaan could be a steal as a cheap bench option in your team.

Isaac Bonga – Bayern Munich (8.8 CR)

Bayern Munich started the season slow but they balanced their game in the last nine having a 5-4 record during that span. Isaac Bonga has started the season rehabing from surgery and he returned late in October and helped the Bavarians improved some aspects of their games.

In the last few games, Bonga, who joined Bayern after several years in the NBA, has shown his value as a two-way wing. With that said, he still a relatively cheap option if you have a need to cover in the forward position in your EuroLeague Fantasy squad.

Through 10 games, he’s averaging 7.3 points and 4.9 rebounds shooting a little more than 36% from three and 40% on 2-pointers. At 8.8 credits, Bonga could be an option if you’re seeking a cheaper option in the wing for your EuroLeague Fantasy team.
