Following their win, the Nets (27-13) stayed just a game behind the East leaders Boston Celtics (28-12). Meanwhile, the Heat (21-20) missed the chance to come closer to the Top-6.
In the other games, the Phoenix Suns and LA Clippers continued their free fall, with both powerhouses currently being on a six-game losing skid.
On the other hand, the Memphis Grizzlies won their sixth straight and stayed on top of the West, tied with the Denver Nuggets (26-13).
