Chima Moneke has officially signed with Monaco, the Monegasques announced on Monday. The deal between the 27-year-old forward and Monaco is for two years and he will remain with the team until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Chima Moneke spent the first part of the season in the NBA, where he played for the Sacramento Kings and the team’s G League affiliate, Stockton. With Stockton, the Nigeria international averaged 16.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 18 games.

Chima Moneke was impressive during the 2021/22 season and led Manresa to the Basketball Champions League Final, claiming the competition’s MVP.
Moneke will play in the EuroLeague for the first time in his career, but it is unclear when he will make his debut with the Monegasques. Monaco is at 12-7 in the standings, tied with Olympiacos, Barcelona and Fenerbahce for second place.
