Pierria Henry is expected to part ways with Baskonia, according to Javier Lekuona of AS.com. Per the team, the 30-year-old guard is dealing with muscular discomfort in his right calf, which has ruled him out for the last four EuroLeague games.

According to AS information, though, there could be another reason for the departure of Pierria Henry, who joined the Basques in late October, and the club has already started to explore the market for his replacement.

“When we have something to announce and everything is clear, we will make an announcement,” team sports director Felix Fernandez said following Monday’s draw of the 2023 Copa del Rey. “Right now, we must focus on the team and players available to break out of the slump.”

Pierria Henry, who spent two years with Baskonia (2019-2021), claiming the 2020 ACB title, is averaging 9.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 6.2 assists and a PIR of 14 over 13 EuroLeague games.

Baskonia has won only once in its last four games and has dropped to sixth in the EuroLeague standings with a 12-8 record, tied with Zalgiris Kaunas.
