Zalgiris Kaunas forward Tyler Cavanaugh will miss significant time after having back surgery, the club announced on Tuesday.
Tyler Cavanaugh has been out since Round 15, when he missed his first game due to back soreness. Conservative treatment did not improve his condition and he underwent a surgery that is expected to sideline him for three months.
Tyler Cavanaugh is averaging 5.9 points and 4.3 rebounds in a role off the bench for Zalgiris Kaunas, which is at 12-8 in the standings ahead of Round 21 game vs Panathinaikos.
The Lithuanians have already lost star point guard Keenan Evans for the season after an Achilles tendon rupture, while his replacement Isaiah Taylor will miss a few more weeks with a hamstring injury.
Tyler Cavanaugh successfully underwent back surgery and will miss at least 3 months of basketball. Get well soon, @tycav34! 🙏
