Even if he was close to joining Panathinaikos, Shabazz Napier has attracted interest from Armani Milano and the two sides are in advanced talks, according to the Spanish website Encestando.
Based on the report, the Italians are frontrunners to sign the American guard, but the “Greens” are also in the mix.
On Sunday, Panathinaikos head coach Dejan Radonjic told media that he is hopeful the club will bring in a new player by the end of the week. Yet, it seems Armani Milano is the favorite to land Napier.

Shabazz Napier joined Zenit St. Petersburg in the summer of 2021, but he never made his EuroLeague debut due to an injury that ruled him out for the season.
Napier is currently playing in the G-League with the Mexico City Capitals, averaging 16.7 points, 4.6 assists and 2.8 rebounds, on 43% from the field and 34% from beyond the arc.
Panathinaikos and Armani Milano are struggling in the EuroLeague this season. Both teams are at the bottom of the standings, with the “Greens” being at 7-13 and the Italians at 6-14.
