The New Orleans Pelicans provided an update on the condition of Zion Williamson, who has been out since January 2 with a hamstring injury.
The superstar big man is progressing well with his recovery and will start to strengthen his hamstring and gradually progress to more movement. His status will be re-evaluated in two weeks, meaning that he is not expected to return before mid-February.
Zion Williamson, who has missed the last 10 games for the Pelicans, is averaging 26 points, seven rebounds and 4.6 assists in 29 games. New Orleans is on a four-game losing skid and has dropped to fourth in the West standings with a 26-21 record.
He will continue his rehabilitation process, which includes strengthening his hamstring and gradually progressing to more movement.
He will be re-evaluated again in two weeks.
