Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant is progressing well with his recovery from an MCL sprain and his return is expected to happen by mid-February.

The superstar forward will be re-evaluated on February 7, but he has already begun running and on-court basketball activities.

Kevin Durant is optimistic about his recovery and plans to play before the All-Star Break, which means his return should happen before February 16.

“That would be a nice target point for me I guess, is the few games before the (All-Star Game) to get my legs back under me,” Kevin Durant said on his podcast, the ETCs. “That’s in an ideal situation, then slide into the All-Star break back healthy, back on the floor.”

The two-time NBA champion, who will be a starter in the All-Star Game (February 19), is averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists, on 55.9% shooting for a Brooklyn team that is fourth in the East standings with a 31-9 record.
