Luka Doncic has a great chance of missing the Dallas Mavericks’ upcoming five-game road trip, as he is dealing with a heel injury.
The superstar guard didn’t travel with the team to San Francisco for Saturday’s game vs the Golden State Warriors and his status will be re-evaluated daily, as the Mavs will face teams which are within two games or less of them in the standings (28-25, 4th in West).
Luka Doncic is averaging 33.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game. Christian Wood (18.4 ppg) is still out with a thumb injury, which means Spencer Dinwiddie (17.6 ppg) will need to step up in a big way vs the reigning champions.
The Mavericks say Luka Dončić (heel) will not fly with the team today and thus miss Saturday's Golden State opener of a five-game trip … but Christian Wood (thumb) is progressing toward a likely Monday return after seven games out.
