Arturas Gudaitis, Dimitris Agravanis on Hedgeout.net about the Greek Cup: “It’s the first title of the season and we must fight for it for ourselves and our fans”

Arturas Gudaitis and Dimitris Agravanis have their sights set on the semi-final of the Greek Cup vs Olympiacos on Saturday.

The big men of Panathinaikos understand that the first title of the season is on the line and want to do their best to help the “Greens” claim the trophy.

“We have to improve and get better game after game. We still need to work on our chemistry. Despite the ups and downs, especially in the EuroLeague, this team can play good basketball, but again we need to improve.

We have to keep improving and hope we can turn things around. We have to keep fighting for ourselves and for the fans,” Dimitris Agravanis told Hedgeout.net a few days ago.

Agravanis’ addition brings extra power to the “Greens” frontline against an Olympiacos team that has been dominant inside the paint in the previous three games vs Panathinaikos.

Arturas Gudaitis has improved his performances lately, coming off a season-high 23 points and 12 rebounds vs Valencia and 13 points vs Kolossos Rhodes in the quarter-final on Friday. However, he makes it clear that what matters is for the team to win games.

“Season-highs and good performances mean nothing if you lose a game. I hope we keep playing good in the Final 8. Our focus must be there right now. It’s the first title of the season and we must fight for it.

Playing good games boosts your confidence. I hope that I can keep playing at a high level and help the team win games,” the Lithuanian big man said in a flash interview with Hedgeout.net.

This will be the fourth matchup between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos in all competitions this season. The “Reds” have won the previous three games.
