Jacque Vaughn has agreed to a multi-year contract extension with the Brooklyn Nets, the franchise announced on Tuesday.
Vaughn took over the Nets after they fired Steve Nash early in the season and was named the interim head coach of the franchise. Now, he has become a full-time head coach and is set to stay with the team for many years.
Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the new deal will keep Jacque Vaughn with the franchise until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Under Jacque Vaughn, the Nets went on a 12-game winning streak from December 7 to January 2 and moved to the second place in the East in early January.
Hence, they have emerged as title contenders and they are now fifth in the standings with a 34-24 record, as we are heading into the final part of the season.
With the departure of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and the arrival of Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson and Spencer Dinwiddie, Brooklyn aims for a deep postseason run.
