2023 Basketball World Cup: 32-team field complete after Qualifiers finale

The 2023 Basketball World Cup Qualifiers have officially come to an end and the 32-team field for summer’s tournament has now been set.

15 teams qualified via the February window (24-27), namely Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Georgia, Iran, Jordan, Mexico, Montenegro, Puerto Rico, South Sudan, USA and Venezuela, with Serbia becoming the last team to book its ticket to the 2023 Basketball World Cup.

The 2023 Basketball World Cup will take place from August 25 to September 10 in Indonesia, Japan and Philippines and will feature nine countries that didn’t compete in 2019.

These teams are Cape Verde, Georgia, Latvia, South Sudan, Egypt, Finland, Lebanon, Mexico and Slovenia. The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Draw will take place in Manila on Saturday, April 29.
